How to Frost a Rectangular Sheet Cake

While the frosting is still soft, pull the blade of a bench scraper along the sides of the cake. Don’t push too hard with it. Use the blade only to pull the frosting roughly into alignment. The cake will still look unfinished at this stage. How to Frost a Rectangular Sheet Cake You can also use the bench scraper to pull up on the sides of a square or rectangle cake. This offers more control and also helps keep the working platform clear of excess frosting.
